2009 Rule Changes

College Player Allowance:  The most significant rule change is allowing college players at three levels.  College players will be allowed in Majors, A and B classifications.  This allowance includes all World Series events.  The State Director will be responsible for insuring that girls are classified correctly.

18 A Pitching Distance:  18 A games will be played with the pitching rubber placed at 43 feet.

Additional Softball:  As always USSSA will supply balls for all tournament play.  In 2009 we will allow the Wilson 9033 12", Wilson 9233 11" and the Worth Red Dot.  The Worth Red Dot is the World Series ball.

World Series Qualification Procedure                                            There are two ways to qualify for the World Series in Colorado. First for all age groups is to place 1st or 2nd in a Colorado qualifying tournament.  Second, 10 U play in at least 2 Colorado USSSA tournaments and the State Tournament.  12 U play in at least 3 Colorado USSSA tournaments and the State Tournament.  14 - 18 U play in at least 4 Colorado USSSA tournaments and the State Tournament.
